Uncle Shagworthy and the Stomach Flu

Honest to goodness, the title comes from a Scooby Doo cartoon playing right now on TV. So does the phrase "stomach over mind" actually. Seemed to fit the mood this morning since I am recovering from the stomach flu and while I'm very hungry now, I can't seem to make my stomach agree with what my mind wants it to do. A limbo state of sorts.
If I had my mind's way - I would be eating eggs and a whole wheat english muffin, with steamed spinach. Add some tea, and I'd be done. And full, and starting to have energy again. But instead, the stomach rebels. It suggests it will try the tea, but only if it's herbal and very plain in taste. Also - those chocolate cookies look good, don't they? ARGH. Stomach doesn't seem to know what's good for it, or does it? Hard to recover from this type of (truly) minor illness when it involves one of the major organs we work with for what sometimes seems like every hour of the day.
Recently realized I need to take better care of myself, and particularly, of my stomach health. And it's been working:eating wisely, portion controlling, and switching to more whole foods versus processed meals. Felt really good - and then whammo - stomach flu.
Oh yeah, and Uncle Shagworthy? That just was a character name from Scooby Doo - and it makes me laugh. And ask the question: Really?!?
Of course Uncle is Shaggy's Uncle. And 'wowzers', Uncle Shagworthy is a multi-millionaire! Weird, eh? Like, Shaggy's all cool with not having seen a cent of the millions, too. I've never been a fan of the show, but the kids enjoy the retro Scooby action. Do you?
Got to go - Inspector Gadget is on now, and that's a show a little closer to my childhood.
